Future Scholars Learning Center is a child care and learning center that opened its doors for business on June 4, 2012 in Biloxi, Mississippi. The Center currently has 7 full time employees, all having CPR and First Aid certification. The employees and the owner, Christine Radich, utilize their strong background in early childhood development and education by offering a specialized education curriculum based learning program for their students.

The Center takes infants and children up to 5 years of age. Future Scholars Learning Center also offers child care services on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month from 4pm to 10pm. The Saturday services are open to the public. The Center has been very successful in its first 2 months of operation, running at full capacity (42 children) and having an additional 10 spots reserved on their waiting list.

Below, business owner Christine Radish comments on her experience of working with a MSBDC Counselor and how she was assisted in starting her business.

"A local lender referred me to the Gulf Coast Small Business Development Center to get help with financing for my child care and learning center. My Business Counselor, Mitch McDowell, helped me locate a lender for financing the project, reviewed my business plan, aided me with my cash flow projections and went over the loan application. In addition, Mitch helped me complete my LLC formation papers and obtain an Employer Tax ID number. I really appreciate the Gulf Coast MSBDC and am glad to have them on my team."

--- Christine Radich

MSBDC wishes Christine Radich and Future Scholars Learning Center best of luck and much success. The MSBDC will continue to be a friendly resource for Christine and her business.
